Nigerian international winger Ademola Lookman has publicly declared he has submitted a formal transfer request to Atalanta, citing “broken promises” by the club’s hierarchy.

“I feel I have no choice but to speak out for what I believe is right and I feel that enough is enough,” Lookman stated in a social media post. “I can confirm I have now handed in a formal transfer request.”
The player expressed frustration that Atalanta is now “blocking the opportunity” for his departure “for reasons I do not understand,” directly attributing this to the club’s failure to honor their agreement.
